Muted Emerald Vest - Self Patterned and Hand Sewn
I designed this piece inspired by a vest I owned already, adjusting the pattern to widen the neck, create the deep scoop line, and raise the underarm for a more sturdy look. I sewed this piece completely by hand, including the lining.
Bunny Balaclava - Crochet
In a practice to flex my intuitive crafting (sans pattern), I made this Bunny Balaclava in seven pieces: the main head piece, two ears, two hearts, and two miniature ear pieces to form the monochrome outer ears.
Faux Leather Bustier - Domestic Machine Sewn
This bustier was made as part of the Halloween Opening Night look I crafted for TEETH. I was inspired by Joan of Arc, creating a sheer white chemise and this black faux leather bustier, to symbolise her untimely death by burning.
Forest Green Wide-leg Trouser - Domestic Machine Sewn
Built using a 1970s pattern found in a Midwest flea market.
This is a sample of my embroidery work. I have practice in objects, words, and free-form shapes. I love these pansies (made for NYC Pride 2023) because of their complexity in coloration. Blending various threads together to effectively convey how the colors bleed into one another was a phenomenal practice in patience.
